Steeking Dandelion Cosy
Steeking Dandelion is a cup cosy knitted mainly in the round using a two-colour stranded technique in natural shades of pure wool, a bold geometric design and of course a steek.
The stitch patterns are inspired by an historic engraving of a dandelion root viewed under a microscope.
The other main feature of this little project is the steek. I like to design my pieces in the round in order to add to the feeling of rhythm and flow as you knit. However, if you want to keep to that and create something flat, then you will need to know how to steek.
This is, in effect a little tutorial on how I learnt to steek using the crochet method.
I hope that success with this gives you the confidence to tackle bigger projects in the future.
Happy Steeking!
